about the project

Giant Chicken Puppet was created over the 3 week session of Common Ground Summer Ecology Camp with campers ages 6-12, culminating in a performance at the family picnic on the last day of camp. The Chicken was designed, built and operated by the campers as a group, using discarded recyclable materials.

I'm a contemplative visual and performing artist, keenly interested in chance connections and found objects; currently conducting a life experiment in following synchronicity. I gravitate towards anything that cultivates coincidence, and any place or event that is a crossroads of random people. I perform with The Stringpullers Puppet Company under the name Polly Sonic.
